Cobwebs, by Harriet Gertude Watres

Harriet wrote under the pen name of Stella of Lackawanna from about 1850 until just before her death on March 2, 1886.  Her son, Lewis Arthur Watres, published her collection of poetry in 1887.  She was well known in the Scranton-Wilkes-Barre area during her lifetime, and some of her poems appeared in the local papers as late as 1920.  A few of her poems were set to music, most notably "Wyoming" which was sung at the 100th anniversary commemoration of the Wyoming Massacre.  This is a complete second edition, with additional biographical information from the Lackawanna Historical Society, and the Watres family.
