The Hawley Flood

May 22-23, 1942

The Lackawaxen River destroyed parts of downtown Hawley during the night of May 22-23, 1942. This book traces the impact of the flood waters from Honesdale, through White Mills to Hawley. In addition to contemporary published reports, the book contains material from interviews with witnesses to the flood. The index includes the names:
